El Dr. Raymond Perrin es un osteópata y neurocientífico británico reconocido por su investigación y tratamiento de la encefalomielitis miálgica/síndrome de fatiga crónica (EM/SFC) y, más recientemente, el COVID prolongado. Graduado en 1984 por la British School of Osteopathy en Londres, ha dedicado su carrera a explorar las causas subyacentes de estos trastornos complejos.

En 1989, desarrolló la Técnica Perrin, un enfoque manual que combina diagnóstico osteopático con drenaje linfático cerebral para tratar el EM/SFC. Su hipótesis, inicialmente controvertida, postulaba que la acumulación de toxinas en el líquido cefalorraquídeo y un drenaje linfático deficiente en el cerebro eran factores clave en el desarrollo de estas afecciones. Investigaciones posteriores han respaldado esta teoría, incluida la confirmación en 2017 de la existencia del sistema linfático cerebral en humanos.

En 2005, obtuvo un doctorado por su tesis sobre el drenaje linfático en el EM/SFC en la Universidad de Salford. Actualmente, es investigador honorario en la Universidad de Manchester y docente en la German School of Osteopathy. Ha publicado en revistas médicas internacionales y ha sido galardonado con el Premio de Investigación y Práctica del Institute of Osteopathy en 2015.
