Of the many uncertainties in human life on Earth, nothing is feared as much as mortal death! Perhaps our own dread increases as we grow older. I am 87. However, we never talk about our own death, but only the deaths of others. So bestselling books that discuss near-death survival often attract readers, maybe because of curiosity about survival from any kind of death. Such books have a special appeal if they describe experiences that “visit Heaven!” Yet, such near-death survival is only one of many recent revelations, all of which indicate that “the real you does not die,” as this book’s title proclaims! Of course, both science and Christianity disavow near-death experiences. Christian funerals still seem to imply that death is final. Furthermore, physicians and nurses have considered it taboo to discuss death, perhaps because academic science has frowned upon research about death. It may be more acceptable to call death a “treatment failure.” So where do you go for plausible reassurances? This is a book of facts, to the extent they are humanly accessible. If facts are not humanly perceptible, this book offers the best alternative—the most plausible theories. Therefore, not only does this book explore beyond all boundaries set by science and religion. It also fearlessly publishes the results for you, the reader. As a lifelong Christian until my retirement and my beloved wife’s increasingly serious illnesses, her pain and suffering started me on a quest that still continues today. For example, I had read that reunion with “deceased” loved ones does occur in Heaven. Then, along came near-death experiences (NDEs) as well as surprising accounts of messages from spirits in the afterlife. So I broadened my search. Everything I found seemed to fit together in God’s unimaginable plans for us humans. The most frequent reminder is the attitude conversion of near-death survivors who “visit Heaven”—that an essential part of each of us survives physical death! All of this and much more are presented in the book, to share with others who also are concerned about human life and death.
