Su interés por el desastre del vuelo de los Andes de 1972 lo llevó a viajar al lugar del accidente en enero de 2013 en compañía de uno de los dieciséis sobrevivientes, Eduardo Strauch. A través de él, conoció a personas relacionadas con la historia, incluidos los sobrevivientes Pedro Algorta y Coche Inciarte, cuyas memorias tradujo. A lo largo de los años, ha realizado numerosas entrevistas dentro de la comunidad de pasajeros y ha profundizado en varios archivos.
