Over the next 3 decades he synchronously unravels his father's military history and the key to understanding the man he didn't know. He traces his father's footsteps through Indo-Pacific submarine warfare, discovering what he did to earn a submarine combat insignia pin, and a bronze star with a 'V' device. Many surprising and serendipitous events serve to guide Robert.
