In the past, Catholic theologians have neglected serious study of the Holy Spirit's role in the resurrection of the dead. This book strive to fill this regrettable lacuna with its clear and scholarly presentation of Paul's theology as articulated in 1 Cor 15, 44b-49 and Rom 8, 9-13. It defends the thesis that, according to the Apostle, the Holy Spirit is indeed God's agent in the resurrection. The novelty of this book's exegesis can be found in its new understanding of Paul's overall argumentation in 1 Cor 15 and in its innovative interpretation of the range of possibilities with regard to the past, present and future in Rom 8,10, a traditional crux interpretum. Theologians will discover these biblical insights into the person and action of the Holy Spirit especially helpful for their study.
